Snooker Player Andrew Higginson is to make an appearance for the Snooker coaching academy staff and young members at the Gild Hall academy in Formby in the very near future. Andrew is one of our top player's in the game, official ranked 38th in the world, Andrew's outstanding campaign included a run to the last 16 of the Malta Cup and runner-up in the Welsh Open 2007 and went on to score the highest break of the competition with a maximum 147. I met up with Andrew in is home town and practice quarters in Widnes, Andrew said he is looking forward and would like to come up the club in Formby and give the academy members a game. Andrew is one of the nicest people in the game today and i Jimmy and the members would like to wish him every success for 2008, good luck Andrew.

The Gild Hall Snooker Coaching Academy will be open from 930am to 12pm every Sunday morning by snooker coach's Jimmy Tristram, Anthony Scorgie.

Day outing for all academy members: Pontins Prestatyn North Wales Sunday 25th November to meet outside the Gild Hall at 730am. (The UK Championships Qualifiers)
