The Gild Hall Snooker Coaching Academy will have a one minute silence on Sunday 7th June 2009 for Steve Prest who sadly died at the age of 43 at his home in Harrogate on 29th of May. read more in the News section.

Thank you to the members of the Gild Hall, with their encouragement to the young lads who entered the Christmas H/Cap 2008. This is the first competition at the Gild Hall the lads have entered into with older members. Big thank you to Duddly and Brian from Jimmy and Anthony.

A big thank you to Andrew Higginson for coming to the Gild Hall on Sunday morning 10am on 7 September 2008. He stayed until 2pm to make sure all the lads at the snooker coaching academy got a game with him. We had a great time Andrew thank you Jimmy and Anthony snooker coaches. Andrew notched up a descent 86 break against young Andy Kershaw. Well done to all the lads today you all played some very good shots including Danny Walsh who played with both hands lol and got the best score of 33 points.

Big thank you to Maria for doing the Prize Bingo for us on Feb 26th were we raised £170 for the Snooker Coaching Academy and snooker table equipment.

A very big thank you to a good friend Frank Baker who looked after our members from the Gild Hall Snooker Coaching Academy. A day we will not forget, Frank supplied all the tickets free of charge as he didn't want to see the members funds dwindling. So Frank we treated them to what ever they wanted to eat at McDonald's on the journey back home thanks to you. It was a brilliant day the members were treated to a guided tour of Pontins snooker venue Prestatyn North Wales it was nice for the members to have their photos taken with snooker's top players, including referees Michaela Tabb and Patricia Murphy. Thank you Frank from Jimmy Tristram, Anthony Scorgie, Alex Jones and all our twelve members for a memorable day.
